摘要
Posterior fetal vasculature (PFV) is a congenital developmental anomaly that needs prompt diagnosis and differentiation from retinoblastoma. To determine the utility of microvascular flow imaging (MFI) in diagnosing and characterizing PFV All patients diagnosed with PFV between July 2019 and June 2022 were enrolled in the study. There were 6 eyes of 5 patients with PFV that were imaged with MFI. MFI showed a more extensive vascular branching pattern that was not visible on color Doppler in all eyes and modified the classification of PFV. The subtypes of PFV by MFI included 1 eye with Type 1, 3 eyes with Type II, 1 eye with Type III and 1 eye with Type IV. Imaging of PFV patients with MFI could add valuable information on the fibrovascular distribution that can aid in determining the type of PFV.
