Linear trinuclear and tetranuclear Ln(iii) compounds aggregated by multidentate Schiff base ligands: insights into the magnetocaloric effect, slow magnetic relaxation behavior and catalytic CO2 conversion

Two new Ln 3 and two new Ln 4 linear compounds show high catalytic activity for the cycloaddition of CO 2 with epoxides under mild conditions. Notably, the linear compounds 1 and 3 exhibit significant MCE, 2 and 4 show slow magnetic relaxation behavior.
