Visible-Wavelength Chip-Scale Polarization-Sensitive Spectrometer Using GaN Photodiodes

A chip-scale spectrometer is proposed to resolve linear polarization information in the visible-wavelength range. The design was supported with preliminary experimental data based on elliptical cross-section nanopillar-shaped GaN photodetectors.
