Dihaloperhalophenyl (Triethylphosphine) Gold (III) Complexes

Abstract Compounds of the X2 (Arx)AuPEt3 type (X[dbnd]Cl, Br, I; (Arx)[dbnd]C6F5, C6Cl5.) are obtained by oxidizing C6F5AuPEt3 or C6Cl5AuPEt3 with halogens or TiCl3. The configuration proposed for the chloro- and bromo-complexes is supported by their I. R. spectra.
