Literature published during the previous year concerning tumors and tumorlike lesions of the conjunctiva and cornea is reviewed. Conjunctival squamous neoplastic lesions and their association with human papillomavirus are discussed. The role of HMB-45, a monoclonal antibody, in diagnosing conjunctival melanoma is also discussed. Other rare lesions of the cornea and conjunctiva are briefly described.
