Application of EBSD in the Study of the Brass Texture

The working principle of electron backscattering diffraction(EBSD) is introduced,and the application of EBSD in analyzing material texture was investigated taking hot-rolled brass as an example.The preferential orientation of brass texture formed during hot rolling was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively by pole figures and inverse pole figures.And the size and misorientation of brass crystalline grain were also studied.Furthermore,EBSD can be applied to studying the formation of material texture at microcosmic level,which is of great practical significance to improve material research level and obtain necessary scientific data for the production and machining of plate material.
