Extraction of Gold(I) from Alkaline Cyanide Solution by TBP-Amine Mixture

Extraction of gold(I) from alkaline cyanide solution by TBP-amine systems and disextraction were studied. The effects of different kinds of amine, equilibrium pH, amine concentration, TBP concentration etc. were inspected. The results showed that the Au(I) extraction of more than 97% was reached under the optimal experimental condition by 40%(V/V) TBP diluted by sulphonation kerosene and the 10%(V/V) amine, the loading capacity of 3.8g/L was obtained. The Au(I) extraction was over 99% by the second order extraction in the applied experiment.
