In order to meet the requirement of CNG combustion,there need to enlarge the volume of combustion chamber and decrease the compression ratio.For the DM425 CNG engine developed on the platform of heavy-duty diesel engine,the combustion processes under different compression ratios and different chamber radii were compared and analyzed respectively by using three-dimensional CFD simulation method.The results show that the design scheme with 11∶1 compression ratio and 85 mm chamber radius is optimal.
