Comparison on Secondary Metabolites of Eucommia ulmoides Leaves in Original and Introducing Regions

Contents of five secondary metabolites(bioactive constituents) in the leaves of Eucommia ulmoides in original and introducing regions were determined. The results were as follows: contents of secondary metabolites in the leaves collected from Zunyi(the original region) were higher than those from Yangling (the introducing region) while leaves collected from Luoyang region and Cili showed the lower contents of secondary metabolites than those from the intraducing region. These showed that Eucommia ulmoides from Luoyang and Cili could be introduced to Yangling, and further developed in the central plain of Shaanxi. Eucommia ulmoides from Zunyi, however was not suitable for the introduction.
