Studies on Chemical Constituents of Microcos paniculata

Objective To study the chemical constituents of Microcos paniculata L.Methods The chemical components were isolated by silica gel,Sephadex LH-20,ODS and preparative HPLC chromatographies,and their structures were elucidated by spectral analysis.Results Twelve compounds were isolated and identified as isorhamnetin(1),kaempferol(2),isovanillic acid(3),p-coumaric acid(4),ferulic acid(5),abscisic acid(6),vitexin(7),isovitexin(8),narcissin(9),isorhamnetin3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(10),isoviolanthin(11),epicatechin(12) and kaempferol3-O-β-D-(6-O-trans-p-coumaroyl)glucopyranoside(13),respectively.Conclusion Compounds 1~6 and compounds 12~13 were isolated from this plant for the first time.
