摘要
Experimental data illustrating the effects of nitrates and detergents on the lipid peroxidation (LPO) and catalase activity (CA) in the Black Sea red macroalga Gelidium spinosum (Rhodophyta) are presented under laboratory conditions. The objective of this work was to study the singular and combined effects that detergent and nitrates have on the biochemical markers of LPO and CA in G. spinosum. Tide washing powder and nitrates in the concentration ranges of 100, 300, and 600 μM/L and 0.1; 1.0, and 10 mg/L, respectively, were examined. The studies demonstrated CA to be the more sensitive biochemical marker. The maximum CA response to minimum concentrations of both nitrates and detergents occurred in the autumn period, when the CA values increased 4-8 times compared with the control. These results make it possible to recommend the catalase activity in G. spinosum as a biochemical marker, as well as advise the autumn period to be the most favorable for such studies.
