This study attempted to obtain evidence of the attainment of the attribute standards for teacher educators through students' observation of their lecturers.The case of the College of Education was studied.Five research questions guided the study.A judgement sample of two hundred ( 200) final year students in the College was used.A structured questionnaire was used to collect data, which was analyzed to obtain the mean ratings of the observations of students, while chi-square statistics and bar charts are used to confirm results of the analysis.The results showed that there was significant evidence from the observations of the students that the teacher educators: i.Foster scientific enquiry within the instructional process; ii.Create enabling learning environment iii.Use formal and informal assessment strategies to evaluate students' progress iv.Demonstrate the professional values and practices that support teacher education programme.v.They did not employ diverse instructional resources in their classrooms from the students' observations (as evidence).Based on these findings, recommendations are made for achieving the goals of the standards for teacher educators, in Colleges of Education in Nigeria.
