摘要
To understand the metabolism of xanthohumol in humans, the quantification of six prenylated flavonoids in beer and herbal infusions was performed using stable isotope dilution analysis. This was followed by synthesising xanthohumol metabolites found in humans after consuming xanthohumol. The final evaluation of the work was carried out in a human trial, comparing the pharmacokinetics of a micellular and native formulation of xanthohumol. The quantification of xanthohumol human metabolites in this trial proved that a micellular formulation increases bioavailability by more than three-fold.
