摘要
Two different models have been applied to simulate the solidification of different multicomponent alloys using thermodynamic calculation methods. The Scheil model could successfully be used to simulate the complex phase precipitation and microsegregation observed during cooling of commercial aluminum alloys at low cooling rates. The second model taking into account multicomponent solid-state diffusion is applied to the solidification of different steel grades and especially to the peritectic reaction. Example results are presented for a carbon steel and a chromium steel. The results are in good agreement with experimental data reported in the literature.
