In the mini-unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-to-ground free-space optical (FSO) communications, bit error rate (BER) is obtained from the received power under the atmospheric turbulence by numerical calculation, and the acceptable angular range of pointing error to establish optical link is examined.
