A word is the minimum free form which consists entirely of two or lesser free forms.The study of the way words combine is the key in the study of vocabulary.Both Chinese and English share some common features in word collocation as well as varieties.This essay focuses on selected phenomena in Chinese and English word collocation,comparing both differences and similarities,aiming to find the potential rule in collocation.
