Clinical Observation on Leg Flap Repairing Heel and Ankle Soft Tissue Defects in 13 Cases

Objective To analyze the efficacy of leg flap repairing heel and ankle soft tissue defects.Methods Thirteen patients with heel and ankle soft tissue defects admitted to Dongguan City Tangxia Hospital from October 2008 to October 2011 were selected,and were repaired by leg flap with an skin area of 110% of the defect,the corresponding blood vessels and nerves were coincided,and the flap survival and defect area feeling recovery of the patients were observed and followed up for 6 months.Results Surgical success was achieved in 13 cases,the flaps survived,all the follow-up was successful;skin flap sensory recovery started from the third week after surgery,11 cases gained flap sensory recovery four months after surgery,flap feeling of all the cases were recovered six months after surgery.Conclusion Leg flap repairing has small damage to the donor site and good postoperative recovery,which should be the major method to repair heel and ankle soft tissue defects.
