Objective To analyze the outcome of 89 IPS e.max porcelain veneers cemented with Variolink II for 12 and 24 months. Methods Evaluated the marginal adaption, shape integrity, color match, tooth sensitivity and gingival health after porcelain laminate veneers were bonded to the anterior teeth,89 for 12 months and 52 for 24 months. Results After 12 months cementation,92.3% of 89 veneers kept their integrity,89.89% of which produced fine marginal adaption,93.26% matched teeth well on color, and 89.89% kept good gingival health. But tooth sensitivity was found within 13.48% of them.24 months later, still 90.38% preserved shape integrity,94.2% maintained good gingival health and marginal adaption. All studied veneers showed color stability and no tooth sensitivity was found. Conclusions When bonded to enamel substrate,IPS e.max veneer can offer perfect restoration with low failure percentage, and well meet the clinical aesthetic needs.
