The Synthesis of Tetrabromobisphenol-A Polycarbonate by Orthogonal Experiments

Tetrabromobisphenol-A polycarbonate (TBBPA-PC) was synthesized by interfacial polymerization with triphosgene(BTC) and tetrabromobisphenol A(TBBPA). The structure of TBBPA-PC was testified by FT-IR.The molecular weight of TBBPA-PC synthesized under different conditions was determined by viscosity method.The effects on intrinsic viscosity and production yield under various reaction conditions were studied by orthogonal experiments.Results showed that the molecular weight of TBBPA-PC was greatly affected by reaction temperature.
