The concentration of 16 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons( PAHs) in coking wastewater were determined by Liquid-Liquid Extraction-HPLC method. The profile and pollution characteristics were analyzed. The results show that: concentrations of 16 PAHs in coking wastewater were very different; naphthalene, acenaphthene, fluorene, phenanthrene, fluoranthene, pyrene were the mainly PAHs. Naphthalene was the most predominant, occupying the 36. 70%-86. 78% of total. Six types of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in total not exceed the standard phenomenon, while benzo[a]pyrene monomer was generally exceed the standard.
