Corrosion Performance of 2A11 Aluminium Alloy Coupled with Carbon Steel in Accelerated Natural Environmental Condition

The corrosion performance of 2A11 aluminum alloy coupled with Q235 steel under natural environment accelerated test was studied in marine atmosphere.The results show that 2A11 aluminum alloy appear serious corrosion.The corrosion area of aluminum alloy is mainly within the scope of five millimeters to ten millimeters on the coupled edge.The mass lose increases with increasing of time.The main reason of corrosion of aluminum alloy is galvanic corrosion and gap corrosion.Cl-from atmosphere and seawater and SO42-from seawater act as a stimulus to corrosion of aluminum alloy.
