Study on relativity of safflower color and hydroxysafflor yellow A.

The flower color of Carthamus tinctorius L.was divided by the PANTONE colour card,the total flavonoids of Carthamus tinctorius L.was determined by UV-visible spectra and hydroxysafflor yellow A(hydroxysafflor yellow A,HSYA) of Carthamus tinctorius L.was determined by high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).The results showed that the total flavonoids and hydroxysafflor yellow A existed positive correlation,the flower color of Carthamus tinctorius L.and the hydroxysafflor yellow A had no relevance,and the color difference and total flavonoids had no significant law.
