Augmentation of Interstitial Cystitis–Bladder Pain Syndrome Treatment With Meditation and Yoga: A Randomized Controlled Trial

(Abstracted from Obstet Gynecol 2025;145(2):186–195) Up to 6.5% of women experience interstitial cystitis–bladder pain syndrome (ICBPS), defined as pain, pressure, and discomfort related to the bladder for more than 6 weeks without an identified cause. Theories surrounding chronic pain have provided some hypotheses of treatments that may make a difference in quality of life for these patients, but not many such studies have been completed in bladder pain patients.
