Azacoumarin-based “turn-on” fluorescent probe for the detection and imaging of hydrogen peroxide in living cells

Herein, we demonstrate azacoumarins as potential fluorophores and their application in the synthesis of a “turn-on” fluorescent probe (PYCB) for the detection of H 2 O 2 using a carboxy benzyl boronic pinacol ester as the peroxide recognition unit.
