Objective To investigate the effect of community nursing interventions on the life style and quality in the elderly.Methods Cluster random sampling was performed on the residents of Yiyang city to select 200 old pepole aged above 65 years as the intervention group,and 100 aged people with thE same condition as the control group.The intervention group received nurse-guided community nursing intervention,while the control without any intervention.The alterations of the life style,blood pressure,blood lipid,blood sugar and motor funciton before and after intervention were observed,and the comparative analysIs were conducted.Results After intervention,the levels of the serum TG,TC,SBP,DBP and blood sugar were significantly lower in the intervention group than in the control group,all P0.01.And the heart rate after fast walking was considerably lower,P0.01(t=6.138),but no significant differences were noted in rest heart rate and slow-walking heart rate,all P0.05.And there were marked improvement in salt and diet control in the intervention group as compared with the control group,P0.01 and P0.05,but no difference was noted in preference to food taste,P0.05.Conclusion The community-based and nurse-guided nursing intervention can enhance the quality of life in the elderly,playing positive role in establising proper concept of the life style.
