Screening of Trichoderma Against Root Rot Caused by Fusarium moniliforme during Seedling Stage of Maize

92 Trichoderma strains isolated from soils around the maize roots infected with Fusarium moniliforme were tested by the confrontation culture to determine their antagonism effect.10 Trichoderma strains with good antagonism effect against Fusarium moniliforme were screened from 92 Trichoderma strains and T-C7 Trichoderma strain with the best antagonism effect on Fusarium moniliforme was tested in maize seedlings planted in pots.The results showed that the inhibition rate of T-C7 Trichoderma strain against Fusarium moniliforme was above 87% and its rate of controlling root rot was 47.49% in maize seedlings.
