Objective To evaluate the effects and safety of pacilitaxel combined with cisplatin neoadjuvant chemotherapy treatment on locally advanced cervical cancer( LACC). Methods Sixty four subjects with LACC were randomly divided into experiment group( n = 32) and control goup( n = 32). Patients in the experiment group were given pacilitaxel combined with cisplatin neoadjuvant chemotherapy and patients in the control group were given 5- fluorouracil combined with cisplatin neoadjuvant chemotherapy. A courese was 21 d,after 2 cycles of chemotherapy, the data of objective response rate and adverse reactions between the two groups were compared. Results The data of objective response rate in experiment was significantly higher than that in control group( 71. 88% vs43. 75%,P 0. 05) and the operation time, volume of blood loss were less than those in control group( P 0. 05),but the chemotherapy related adverse reactions were not statistically different in the two groups( P 0. 05). Conclusion Pacilitaxel combined with cisplatin neoadjuvant chemotherapy for LACC can improve the short- term clinical efficacy and successful rate of operation.
