Research on Methods of Performance Improvement in ROLAP System

Compared with MOLAP,there are some shortcomings in ROLAP system in processing multi-dimensioned data.The architecture of ROLAP and several performance improvement methods are described,such as materialized views,index and parallel processing technologies.Query optimization technology is analyzed and at the same time an idea is presented that cache mechanism is introduced in ROLAP designing and applying,enhancing ROLAP query performance much more.
