Synthesis of glyoxylic acid from glyoxal by air oxidation

This study,by choice and synthesis of metal catalysts,has made some progress in the synthesis of glyoxalic acid by air oxidation.The optimum condition of synthesis were: percentage conversion of glyoxal was 85.1%,yield of Glyoxylic acid was 60.2% and selectivity of Glyoxylic acid was 70.7%;under pH 1～2,reaction temperature 43 ℃ and reaction time 20 h.
