Advances in the structure-activity relationship study of diosgenin and its derivatives

Objective To review the research progress of the studies of diosgenin derivatives and provide a theoretical basis for diosgenin research and development.Methods Based on domestic and foreign literatures published in recent 10 years,the diosgenin and its derivatives were reviewed.Results Domestic and foreign researchers choose diosgenin and optimize its chemical structures in order to develop a number of new derivatives with better pharmacological activities.Conclusions Diosgenin derivatives are promising for further development.Diosgenin and its derivatives should be paid more attention to the research.
