Objective:To investigate the expression of CCK receptor of gallbladder wall and the emptying function of the gallbladder in patients with gallstones.Methods:The gallbladder emptying function was determined preoperatively with B ultrasonographe and CCK receptor mRNA expression of gallbladder were studied with RT-PCR in 100 patients with gallstones and 50 patients of control group.Results:The gallbladder motility was significantly impaired in patients with gallstones. mRNA expression of CCK receptor of these patients was lower than that of control subjects(0.59±0.03 vs 0.91±0.04,P0.01). Expression of CCK receptor mRNA in patients with gallstones(0.59±0.11) was decreased significantly than that of the control group. The change of expression of CCK receptors in the cellular membrane of the smooth muscle of the gallbladder negatively correlated with cholecystic remaining exponent(RV/FV×100%)(Y=0.61-0.45X,r=-0.65,P0.01).Conclusion:The down-regulation of gene expression is related to the dysfunction of the cholecystic emptying function.
