Simple synthesis of multifunctional photosensitizers for mitochondrial and bacterial imaging and photodynamic anticancer and antibacterial therapy

An isoquinolinium-based photosensitizer was developed for mitochondrial and bacterial imaging, and used in photodynamic anticancer and antibacterial therapy in a wound healing processin vivo.
