The photocurrent of solution-grown polycarbonate film containing 25 phr soluble NiPcX 4 was measured. The photocurrent showed an antibatic relationship with the wavelength of irradiated light. When the photocurrent was measured only in the irradiated region, it showed a symbatic relationship. The reasons for these findings were discussed via a model which took into account both the kinetics of photogenerated carriers in the irradiated region and the field-dependent carrier mobility. Appearance of the antibatic photocurrent was found to be caused by high resistivity in the non irradiated region of the sample.
