摘要
Recent progress in the design and construction of photoelectric spectro-photometers is reviewed. Their associated equipment, such as low-voltage hydrogen lamps, electronically stabilized power packs, ultra-violet sensitive photocells, etc., is discussed. Double-beam recording spectrophotometers and methods of cathode-ray presentation of spectra are described and an account is given of the methods of ultra-violet microspectro-photometry. Developments in the vacuum ultra-violet, solar spectroscopy, high intensity light sources, photographic emulsions, etc., are discussed and progress in the interpretation of ultra-violet absorption spectra is reviewed.
