摘要
This study explores the bioactive properties of peptide fractions obtained from tilapia fish scale collagen peptide, with a focus on their potential for skincare applications. Peptide fraction F5 demonstrated significant anti-UVA activity by effectively reducing oxidative stress and inhibiting elastase activity. Analysis of amino acid composition revealed a high concentration of specific amino acids in F5, suggesting antioxidant and elastase inhibitory actions. Moreover, compared to conventional antioxidants, F5 exhibited superior efficacy in scavenging free radicals such as ROS. In vitro studies demonstrated F5's ability to promote fibroblast proliferation and migration, contributing to cell repair and tissue regeneration. Mechanistic insights revealed F5's downregulation of MMP-1, MMP-3, and MMP-12 expression, which helps preserve collagen and elastin. Peptide identification and molecular docking analysis provided further understanding of F5's inhibitory mechanism against MMP-12. Overall, these findings indicate the potential of F5 in skincare products and functional foods, offering protection against UVA-induced damage and promoting skin health.
