摘要
Abstract A transition metal‐free, chemoselective and efficient hydrosilylation method of tertiary amides to aldehydes is disclosed. Diverse tertiary amides are effectively transformed into aldehydes in moderate to excellent yields. The system presents broad applicability to a wide range of aromatic and heteroaromatic amides and tolerates various functional groups. In particular, the protocol can tolerate cyano, nitro, heteroaromatic and ethynyl functional groups, and is also compatible with highly sterically encumbered amides. This hydrosilylation method demonstrates an inexpensive and practical approach to conduct and can be operated for gram‐scale synthesis.
