Enabling uniform lithiation in solid-state synthesis by preventing pre-matured surface grain coarsening through grain boundary engineering

This work reported a novel method to enhance the solid-state calcination homogeneity of LiNi 0.9 Co 0.05 Mn 0.05 O 2 by depositing a WO 3 layer on precursor surface via atomic layer deposition, obtaining a high-performance nickel-rich layered cathode.
