Effects of Temperature Treatment on Seed Germination and Anti-oxidant Enzyme Activity of Cowpea

Change of germination characteristics and anti-oxidant enzyme activity of cowpea seed under different temperature was studied. The results showed that different temperature treatment exhibited different effect on germination rate, germination power and germination index. Germination rate, germination power and germination index under 28℃ and 30℃ were higher and seed germinated was faster. 30℃ was the optimum germinated temperature of cowpea seed from comprehensively measured indexes.
