Improvements and Applications of the QuEChERS Method in Multi-residue Analysis of 54 Pesticides in Vegetables and Fruits

The extraction and purification improvements of the QuEChERS method for determinations of multiple pesticide residues in vegetables and fruits have resulted in increased sensitivity and cleaner matrix.The improved method combining with GC-MS has been successfully applied to determine 54 pesticide residues,covering a wide range of physicochemical properties,in vegetables and fruits.For the 54 pesticide residues in level of 0.05-1.0 mg·kg-1,the average recoveries(n=6) were in range of 65%-120% with the RSD(n=6) of 4%-14%.The limits of detection were in range of 3-25 μg·kg-1.
