摘要
ABSTRACT Concrete cutting and related operations generate significant amounts of dust, which poses serious environmental concerns. The efficient collection and suppression of such dust remain a pressing challenge. In this work, a film‐forming interpenetrating network dust suppressant, denoted as PCP‐Borax (glycerol), was developed. Single‐factor experiments were conducted to optimize the component ratios. Key properties, including viscosity, surface tension, tensile strength, fracture strain, and wind erosion resistance, were then evaluated. The optimized formulation was determined to be 0.18 g of CMC‐Na, 0.35 g of PVA, 0.1 g of PAM, and 0.1 mL of glycerol per 100 mL of solution. This formulation yielded a suppressant with a viscosity of 45 mPa s and a surface tension of 46 mN/m. After curing, the resulting film exhibited a tensile strength of 1.12 MPa and an elongation at break of 204%. Furthermore, it achieved a wind erosion resistance rate of 72% at a wind speed of 14 m/s. These results confirm that PCP‐Borax (glycerol) suppressant offers favorable dust wetting ability, mechanical properties, and wind erosion resistance. The findings provide a useful reference for controlling concrete dust.
