摘要
With increasing demand for long distance electric railway high-speed rail (HSR) transportation, there is need to explore medium voltage DC (MVDC) traction power system (TPS) for adequate and quality supply. In this study, dynamic models of the MVDC TPS with two traction substations (TSSs) operating on constant power and constant DC voltage respectively, the electric train and the railway track are modeled and simulated in MATLAB/Simulink to demonstrate its operation control. The results show that the TPS can ensure stable DC voltage during train traction, cruising, coasting and braking. Future study shall explore droop-based control schemes best known for better current/power sharing in TPS.
