Abstract A review of Design Issues 40. The Unfolding Culture: Design Archive & Research (1984-2025). The exhibition explored the role of Design Issues in promoting the expansion of design discourse. The exhibit was the centerpiece of symposium held on the Liangzhu campus of the China Academy of Art in in Hangzhou, China, in October, 2025. The review describes the contents and installation of the exhibit.
