Rational synthesis of organic single-crystalline microrods and microtubes for efficient optical waveguides

Binary organic DPEpe–F 4 DIB single-crystalline microrods and microtubes were controllably prepared using a facile solution evaporation method in different solvent systems. The microtubes display a lower optical-loss of 0.0145 dB μm −1 than that of 0.0341 dB μm −1 for the microrods.
