Nanocrystalline nickel coatings were prepared by jet-electrodeposited method with direct current. The influence of currentdensity on the microstructure such as surface morphology, average grain size and texture of electrodeposited Ni coatings was studied by Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The results showed that an increase in the current density from 11.65 A/dm~(2) to 93.2 A/dm~(2)resulted in an increase in the average grain size from 13 nm to about 50nm and a change in the texture from a (111) fiber texture to a stronger (200) fiber texture.
