摘要
Precision medicine, an innovative paradigm, harnesses genetic, environmental, and lifestyle data to individualize health management decisions. With the advent of advanced gene sequencing technologies, three key precision medicine modalities are poised to dominate clinical practice: omics-based biomarkers, artificial intelligence algorithms, and digital health applications. This transformative approach delves into the unique biological characteristics of individuals, employing tools like genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics to tailor diagnoses and treatments. In parallel, personalized medicine extends beyond genetics to consider holistic patient profiles, incorporating lifestyle, environment, and medical history for comprehensive treatment plans. Both precision and personalized medicine revolutionize healthcare by elevating diagnostic accuracy, and treatment efficacy, and minimizing adverse effects. The past reliance on a 'one-size-fits-all' model is giving way to a targeted, molecular, and genomic approach, enabling a deeper understanding of diseases at their core. Incorporation of precision medicine is evident in strategies like biopsies for cancer genetic analysis and patient-specific chondrocyte transplantation for cartilage defects. Noteworthy technologies, such as 3D tumor models, machine learning for rare diseases, and telemedicine, exemplify the diverse applications and evolving landscape of precision medicine.
