Recovery of Gallium From Leaching Residue of Zinc Hydrometallurgy

Recovery of gallium from leaching residue of zinc hydrometallurgy by rotary kiln reduction volatilization-magnetic separation—leaching of gallium with sulfuric acid process is investigated.Gallium grade in the leaching residue is 543 g/t.The gallium-iron concentrate which gallium grade is more than 1500 g/t can be received by reduction roasting for 150min under 1100℃.Recovery of gallium is not less than 90%.The leaching rate of gallium can reach to 98% when gallium-iron concentrate is leached with sulfuric acid.
