Metering Error Analysis of Natural Gas and Improvement Measures

The metering of natural gas still presently depends on orifice flowmeter,one of differential pressure flowmeters.In practical production,there are many complicated reasons causing metering errors,which fail to satisfy the precision requirements of metering,so it is of great importance for practical production activities to find out the metering errors and advance corresponding improvement measures.This paper analyzes the main factors causing metering errors from the following three aspects,e.g.error of metering instruments,error of changes of use condition and other factors,then advance improvement measures from six aspects and finally put forwards suggestions to the present metering work and forecast the developing direction of orifice flowmeter in the near future.
