Development of a protective relay for feeders based on graph-oriented programming technique

This paper proposes and creats a new kind of protective relay for feeders based on the current development situation of the protective relay in our country. The main feature of the proposed protective relay is that the graphoriented programming technique is successfully used. The protective relay is realized with 32 bit lower power loss DSPs to perform the functions of relaying, measuring and controlling in the real time. As a result, both the technique characteristics and the reliability of the developed relay are greatly improved. Additional advantages of the developed relay are its small size and low cost.
