Five isoenzymes(SOD,MDH,ME,ATP,ADH),extracted from the mantellum of three species of Mytilus,Mytilus edulis Linnaeus and Hybrid Mytilus(which were from the hybridization between Mytilus coruscus Gould and Mytilus edulis Linnaeus by artificial cultivation),were analyzed by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis(PAGE).The results showed that five isoenzymes were greatly similar in three species of Mytilus above-mentioned.There were the same MDH bands in the three Mytilus and anther weak band with low mobility ratio in Mytilus edulis;SOD and ATP showed four phenotypes in Mytilus coruscus Gould but three in Mytilus edulis Linnaeus and Hybrid Mytilus.Me was empty of middle phenotype in Mytilus edulis Linnaeus.ADH was the same in Mytilus edulis Linnaeus and Hybrid Mytilus, the three bands also appeared in Mytilus coruscus Gould but with obviously different mobility ratio. The expression of isoenzymes showed there was relative relationship between Mytilus coruscus Gould and Mytilus edulis Linnaeus, and hybrid Mytilus showed similarity with both of them. The conclusion was in accord with the result of traditionary taxonomy.
