One component crosslinkable acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive was prepared via solution polymerization using acrylic monomers. Studies indicated that cohesion increased with the increase of crosslinking agent from 0.2% to 1.2%, but adhesion strength and tack decreased. There were no significant difference between adhesive properties when crosslinking agent was added at 20℃ and 60℃. Drying temperature and time had significant effects on the crosslinking of adhesives. The crosslinking nearly completed at 120℃ for three minutes. The adhesion strength still remained constant after the adhesion solution had stored for 120 days, however, the viscosity increased slightly. The properties of tapes made from this adhesive became constant after three days.
